Jaquie and Kevin are engaged… my lil sis is growing up!
One of the best things about this business is you get to meet so many awesome people. You realize that every couple is special and awesome in their own way. That said, this engaged couple is really more special to me than any other that we have been able to photograph. The Bride is my little sister Jaquie, and the love of her life, Kevin. Of course I have known her since the day she was born. In addition to being able to watch her grow up, she is also one of the best friends I have ever had. And Kevin is a perfect fit for her. Enough chatting, I could go on and on, but I have to save my speech for the Wedding reception… We returned to the Roswell Mill which is where Kevin had popped the question.
This is the exact spot where Kevin proposed.

I love you both! I can’t wait for September!

Family Mini Sessions, Dec. 4th
So, here is the story…
James really wanted to surprise me this year for Christmas, which is pretty hard to do since I do most of the budget-keeping in our house. So secretly he set up a day of mini sessions this Saturday in order to make some money that I wouldn’t know about. THEN, my car’s transmission saw its last day, and we were blessed to get a new, bigger vehicle! (A Toyota Matrix if you are wondering). SO with a present like a car for christmas secret money wasn’t a great idea anymore. James already had a number of people sign up, so we are doing the mini sessions, they just aren’t a secret anymore…
HOWEVER, we have had a couple cancellations, so we are offering it up to a wider community ! Here is the deal:
What: One hour of family/baby/couple portraits
Where: Duluth Town Green
When: Tomorrow, Saturday the 4th
How much: $100
Call or Text James to find out if we have a time slot open that works for you! 404.538.7902
We hope to see some of you this weekend!
Merry Christmas!

Mary Elizabeth and Jeff are Engaged!
Mary Elizabeth and Jeff got a hold of us through our favorite wedding coordinator, Suzanne at Perimeter Church (she was our wedding coordinator), and we are SOO glad that they did! This couple is so much fun, and far too adorable for their own good. ME never stopped laughing at Jeff whether it be a movie quote, running through the feild to her like in Little House on the Prairie, or commenting on her how her lip gloss tasted, it seemed that she never stopped laughing, nor did James or I. We took these pictures the day before I went into labor, and ME said that the reason she came early (2 weeks) was because she witnessed how awesome they are at jumping and decided to give it a try, you will see what I mean…

… See what I mean…

This next one is “Little House on the Prairie”

These last few are wardrobe changes that they brought with a story behind each one… we will see if I can accurately describe them.
They both spent some time doing mission work in China, so this is a chinese couple. Apparently they always match…

This is for their love of the Braves… they are super-fans.

Jeff grew up in Mexico, so here they are wearing Mexico’s soccer uniform, this is their world cup team picture.

And lastly Jeff added in a Nacho Libre mask… naturally.

Mary Elizabeth and Jeff, we are so honored to be a part of your big day! You are truly love personified and quite obviously meant for each other! Thanks for including us in your story!
Love!

Casey and Brandon are Getting Hitched!
What can I say to describe Brandon and Casey? They are two of our sweetest and closest friends! You can often catch them hanging out in our backyard around the fire pit with a glass of wine. That kind of friends. The kind that are almost like family, thats how natural and comfortable it is to hang out with them. I have known Brandon Case for years, forever really, since childhood. When he started dating Casey, one by one people wanted to point out that if they every got married she would be Casey Case. They each (including myself) thought that they were the first to mention it to them. Apparently the funny new name could not deter Casey from falling in love with Brandon with all his quirks and enthusiasm. She was perfectly made for Brandon, and Brandon for Casey. We are so blessed to count them as friends… here are a few pictures from our time together…

It just so happened that there was a row of these “Case” steam engines lined up for us to take pictures by… pure coincidence!

This is your life from now on Casey…

Brandon and Casey, we are so excited to celebrate with you just 2 days after Thanksgiving! There is no better time to spend with family, and the two of you are part of ours!
Love!

Elizabeth and Patrick are Engaged!
Elizabeth and Patrick found us through my amazing friend Cassie and we are so glad that they did! This sweet couple are such a blast to hang out with. She works for Channel 2 action News and he is finishing graduate school with his Masters in Divinity this Spring! Both the bride and the groom to be were so much fun to get to know and quick to joke around and crack up! Exhibit A:

This is what you would call a house divided! Of course they brought their home colors and we had a face-off… Okay, not really, they have a very friendly rivalry… but funny all the same.

It really hurt them to take this picture… holding each other’s colors.

Elizabeth and Patrick, we really can’t wait to celebrate with you both at your August wedding!
Love!

Baylee and Anthony are Engaged!!!
I first heard from Baylee about her wedding next fall when she heard James on our favorite radio show last winter. We participated in a segment called tradio, which is how we met Jenna and Dan.
We met with Baylee and Anythony and got super excited about their wedding almost instantly. They are both Seniors at Georgia Tech, and are getting married next October. Although the details of the day are still in planning, they were very clear that they want to look like rock stars in their pictures of their big day. James is really good at asking questions. Which is awesome because we get to know them, but often we have to throw out a lot of the pictures because they are mid word from the extensive conversation that they are carrying on with James. Hilarious, but we found out Baylee is studying business, and Anthony is studying aerospace engineering… pretty serious right? I do not envy either of their class loads, but these two are by no means serious. We had so much fun hanging out with them all the way up here in Suwanee. They wanted a fall feel to their pictures, so they made the long haul up to us for some changing leaves. Which brings me to thier pictures… I hope you love them as much as I do…

Baylee and Anthony, We can’t wait to celebrate with you next October… can’t wait to
Sam and Teresa are Engaged!
I met Teresa about five or more years ago, most likely in a Communications class at Berry College. Back then she was a firecracker going a mile a minute and always kept me laughing. So when she called me to talk about the honor of her wedding photography, I was thrilled! I knew that her wedding is going to be a blast and that whoever won her would have to be amazing and unique just like her.
Sam did not disappoint. He didn’t stop making her (and us) laugh the whole time we took their engagement pictures. Teresa is currently in Indiana working on her graduate degree, and was returning to Georgia for our alma mater’s homecoming weekend called “Mountain Day” celebrating the founder’s birthday. I was unable to attend the events on Saturday, but being there on Friday allowed memories to come flooding back as I rarely get to visit. Enough about me… We met at the student center and then headed up to mountain campus to get started… did you know that Berry is the largest campus in the world? (with one of the smallest student bodies…)
While traveling the campus, James and Sam kept mentioning how many deer there were and how they didn’t really care that we were there… Teresa and I were not nearly as amused by the deer… seeing how there is 8.5 deer per student… James still couldn’t resist taking a picture…

Dan and Amy are engaged!
Last weekend, James and I spent a very hot afternoon with Amy and Dan at Piedmont Park. So hot in fact I think we all could have jumped in a pool and had the same result. That didn’t dampen Amy and Dan’s attitude though, their smiles and excitement for each other prevailed against the heat.

Dan and Amy, y’all are such an adorable fun couple! We had a blast sweating with you, and can’t wait for your October wedding (when it will be cooler) and look forward to seeing that groom’s cake!

Jon and Cassie are engaged!
Will it Rain, or not? That has been the dilemma for like the past 96 hours as we have been deciding where or whether to go ahead with shoot after shoot… So I am glad that we decided to brave the weather with Cassie and John on Memorial Day!
Let’s see, the first time I met Cassie… hmm… I don’t remember the first time I met her. I know I was a Sophomore in High School, possibly at lunch. I was a shy, nerdy girl who had just been welcomed in to her awesome group of friends, I guess you could say she was forced to be my friend… maybe she is still just putting up with me, but she hides it really well… She is one of the greatest friends a girl could ask for! And she and her Fiance John just happen to be beautiful people! John, or fire-engine red as he was affectionately called before we got to meet him in college, are a perfect match, with beautiful completely compatible personalities, and a wonderful, hope-filled, brilliant future ahead of them.
I have the privilege of wearing a gorgeous dress that looks a lot like the about seven other girls at the wedding and standing at the front of the aisle holding some flowers, so unfortunately James and I will not be privileged enough to take John and Cassie’s wedding pictures, but she is going to make one beautiful bride, and I get to be front and center for the whole thing! So excited for July 11th…
But enough chatting, I could go on for hours, but let’s get to some gorgeous pics… here goes…

I cannot wait to watch you two get hitched! Thanks for letting us capture a few hours of this fun phase of life… July 11th will be here sooner than we know it!
love you both!
-Lindsay and James
Ben and Maryjo are Engaged!
James and I have had the pleasure of knowing both MaryJo and Ben separately for a few years now. They were set up by a mutual friend of us all and he really knew what he was doing with these two. Let this be an encouragement to everyone that blind dates do work! (sometimes) Their sweet love for each other gave us so much energy! They made each other smile constantly, but they can also pull off an rockin serious face!
We are so excited for their wedding in August in downtown Norcross, so naturally we gravitated to this same area for their engagements. When you look closely, this little town has a lot of cool spots, so much character.
So with no further ado…

Jenna and Dan are engaged!
We spent the afternoon with Jenna and Dan. We started the afternoon down at Cool Beans Coffee Roasters in the Marietta Square where we got to know eachother a little better. You see we got connected to Jenna and Dan throughthe Bert Show on Q100. Jenna called in and offered a flat screen TV and a wii for our photography package! So we get the privilege of shooting their October Wedding!
From the moment they walked in the door, they were such a fun couple! Just starting to nail down their details, we talked about what they know so far about their wedding with so much fun and anticipation! And with that… we got started!
Jenna and Dan live in Marietta close to the Square and love the atmosphere. I must admit, today was my first time there, but I can see what they love! It was a vibrant, fun, old-timey yet bohemian haven, and super fun to take pictures in…
