Spring Minis… finally
So I knew that I was behind on blogging, but didn’t realize how behind I was. I shot these mini sessions back at the end of May! Summer definitely does not equal more time, I have no idea how it is suddenly August! Anyway, these sessions were for any type of portraits in the park, but it turned out to be mini maternity! Somehow I attracted gorgeous women who are with child that day and their families. It was a hot and awesome and I love celebrating this phase of life!
First I took pictures with Zack and Robin in anticipation of their first child. When I took these pictures they didn’t know if the child was a girl or a boy! I can’t imagine not knowing but it was so sweet to participate in their surprise! Here are a couple of my Favorites!

Next I hung out with the Philips Family who were expecting their second: a girl to give their oldest boy who was about to turn 2 a playmate!

Last but not least I got to meet Becky and Brian as they were expecting their baby girl, Ellie.

Thank you all for letting me spend some quality time with you during such an exciting phase of your family’s life!

Ishani is almost 4 months old!
If you are a parent, you have been an unsure, nervous first time parent. As you know, James and I became parents a little more than seven months ago, and there is only one person in your life that can truly put your mind at ease and assure you that your baby is doing great, the pediatrician. In addition to answering all our many questions Hiral, Annelise’s doctor, also spent time with us, got to know us, and what we do for a living. At the time, she was around her third trimester, and just a couple of months after Annelise was born this little love entered her world. I am positive that she is not nearly as unsure and nervous, but when it was time to take some pictures, she and husband Sameer became just like every other parent, acting crazy, singing and making weird noises for their baby girl to smile at the camera. As it turns out that little Ishani, who is normally all smiles, doesn’t love the one eyed monster that I became when the camera came up, but we got a few out of her! Smile or not, this little girl is adorable!

Ishani’s nickname is “shanibunny” so I happen to bring some bunny ears with me! Hopefully the nickname sticks or one day she ask why they let that crazy lady put ears on her…

Hiral and Sameer, your daughter is gorgeous and she is very blessed to have you as parents. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little girl, it means more than you know.

Hank is Half a Year Old!
It was so much fun to meet baby Hank and his mommy Amanda! Hank is just a few days younger than my baby and it was so cute to see Hank bobble while he sits up, play on his tummy and enjoying life from a brand new perspective just like Annelise is. This little boy has the most striking blue eyes that are gonna be dangerous when this little man hits high school…

I have to give props to Hank’s mommy, Amanda for making his bedding in background…

Gotta love a boy in a hat… especially when it brings out his gorgeous eyes!

I know those eyes… getting sleepy….

I guess all boys love to play in the dirt from birth… Hank is no exception!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet this little man and his awesome mommy. Thanks Amanda and Hank for hanging out with me!

Annelise Joy is half a year old!
I know that is not very old, but as the woman who held all 6lb 13oz of my tiny little bug on the day she was born, it is hard to believe that she is more than 8lbs heavier, sitting up, rocking on her hands and knees, and trying hard to let a couple teeth break through! She is my little Joy and as much as it feels like she has been around forever, it is equally hard to understand that she is half way to a year already! This baby session was a bit different for me in a sweet way! I gave James the camera, and I was the mom. I was trying to help her sit up and pull my arm out of the shot quickly before she toppled over. I was next to James singing songs and trying to get her to look at the camera and smile. I was changing her outfits and dolling her up for the next round of pics… and I loved it. My number one vocation is for sure parenthood. I love it! I couldn’t be prouder to be this little girl’s mommy and I wouldn’t change a bit of it. I am also blessed that I get to have another passion that I love in photography. I am truely blessed beyond measure and I don’t deserve any of it. Okay, here she is…

I have tried to use this little tutu/ hairband duo on a couple beautiful little girls. Newborn is a bit too young, 1 year, a bit to old cause they don’t want to wear the headband and the tutu is too itchy for them. I have decided 6 months is perfect!

Next, in just her BumGenius booty, near our door to outside, I love the way her eyes look in the sunlight!

Last out at the new Fowler Park in Cumming that just opened up a couple miles from our house! It was a gorgeous day, and her pink dress looked great in the grass!

She is hanging out on the precious quilt that her grandmother, James’s mom lovingly called Mim, spend countless hours making for her by hand!

Grabbed a couple more with the photographer, aka daddy, just before she was “ready” for dinner (and over getting her picture taken). 2 of my favorite pics of the day, and definitely my 2 favorite people! My Love and My Joy!

Annelise Joy, I can’t believe how big and smart you are already. You have definitely turned the corner from infant when you needed to be held or strapped into something, to a sweet baby getting more and more independent every day. I take great pride and so much joy in in watching you grow. I love you so much! Happy Six Months!

Hannah Grace has turned ONE!
Hannah Grace has turned the big O-N-E and I can hardly believe it has been a year. I was able to hang out with this sweet family of three on Hannah’s actual birthday and it couldn’t have been more fun! It was a little windy for her liking, but it made little difference! Hannah didn’t adore the wind, but she loved the balloons I brought her and a cupcake to dive into! It was such a blast to be a part of this little blessing’s first birthday!

Guess who looks just like her daddy…

Hannah did not love the tutu as much as we did…

She was, however, a fan of balloons!

and a big fan of cupcakes, though it took her a minute to figure it out…

Hannah, I am so proud to have the privilege of watching you grow up! Happy 1st Birthday! You are truly a blessing!

Jack and Lily went up a hill… the Lefevre Twins!
I was ecstatic to finally meet Jack and Lily Lefevre. I ran into their Mommy and Daddy at Target about 2 months before their due date where they were picking up some last few items for their sweet babies. And it is a good thing that they did because the very next day, the decided to make their entrance into the world! I met them when they were 10 weeks old, just 3 weeks past their due date, and they were small enough to be newborns! Lily was just a dream for the camera, she just slept and posed for us, while Jack on the other hand was not a fan of the camera, or at least of not being held! With twice the babies, it is certainly twice the fun. It may have taken a bit more sweet words and kisses for both of them to love the camera at the same time, but in the end they made some adorable pictures!

Sweet Tiny Lily with with mommy and daddy…

And Then Mr. Jack…

One day Jack will inherit this watch that Mike received from his father… what a treasure.

Hello bright gorgeous eyes!

A cowboy from the start…

Hey Buddy!

Mike and Lauren, your little ones are just amazing. What a gift to you and all four of you are a gift to everyone around you. Thank you for letting me capture them at this sweet age! I can’t wait to watch them grow!

Make room for baby sister… Scottie Grace!
The Sanders family has a bit more pink in their lives since the arrival of the graceful, tiny miss Scottie graced them with their presence the first week of February. Jake and Tally, aka Daddy and Mommy, are priceless friends of ours and we have had the honor of documenting their little family on numerous occasions in the past 2 years. Their firstborn Truss was one of the first babies that we would hang out with on a regular basis, now we have so many wonderful blessings surrounding us it is almost too many to count, and Scottie is definitely one of those blessings! She is so calm and sweet, exactly what mommy needs with big brother Truss (17 months) running around!

I adore your family, and I am so blessed to know you!

The Huffs just grew!
I (Lindsay) have the privilege of having an amazing friend named Zoe Huff. She and I have been friends since the year I graduated college, we worked side by side for a couple years (at one point our desks faced each other… trouble!), served as bridesmaids for each other, and have been close ever since. These days mommy-hood has us a bit spread out, so we have to put in a bit more effort to get some quality time, but we make it work. It had been far too long since I had the honor of photographing the (then) family of three, so we had to correct that before christmastime came and when at the end of last year. The last week of January, their family grew to include Kaiya Joy, whom I was able to visit in the hospital so look for a couple pink cuddly pics at the end of the post.

Dax and Kaiya, you have one of the greatest mommies ever! You are so blessed to have parents that love you and love the Lord with everything that they are! I am so blessed to have all 4 of you in my life! Thanks for letting me capture your little ones!

Family Mini Sessions, Dec. 4th
So, here is the story…
James really wanted to surprise me this year for Christmas, which is pretty hard to do since I do most of the budget-keeping in our house. So secretly he set up a day of mini sessions this Saturday in order to make some money that I wouldn’t know about. THEN, my car’s transmission saw its last day, and we were blessed to get a new, bigger vehicle! (A Toyota Matrix if you are wondering). SO with a present like a car for christmas secret money wasn’t a great idea anymore. James already had a number of people sign up, so we are doing the mini sessions, they just aren’t a secret anymore…
HOWEVER, we have had a couple cancellations, so we are offering it up to a wider community ! Here is the deal:
What: One hour of family/baby/couple portraits
Where: Duluth Town Green
When: Tomorrow, Saturday the 4th
How much: $100
Call or Text James to find out if we have a time slot open that works for you! 404.538.7902
We hope to see some of you this weekend!
Merry Christmas!

The Hanlan Family!
Jennifer got in touch with through my sister-in-law, Jessica. Together they save lives as they nurse one heart patient at a time a Piedmont Hospital. After seeing Jessica’s wedding photos, she and Dave asked us to photograph their family’s two milestones, their son Connor turning two and the impending arrival of Hanlan boy #2: Aiden. We met them down the road from their house at Taylor-Brawner Park in Smyrna. It was a small, beautiful park with a huge front lawn, and plenty of places to take some beautiful fall pictures of their growing family. Here are a couple of our favorites!

Dave, Jennifer, and Connor, it was a blast hanging out with you! We can’t wait to meet baby Aiden very soon! Congrats!

Rebekah is 3 months old!
It hasn’t been too long since you saw this little one last… 3 months to be exact. My sister and her little girl came over to capture an update. It is amazing how much they grow in such a short time! Last time I took pictures of her she was asleep practically the whole time. She also didn’t mind one bit being completely exposed. This day she was alert and very interested in what was going on around her! Love this little girl!

Truss is 7 Months Old!
Truss is growing up so fast! This is not the first time you have seen this little man or his family! We have had the privilege of photographing this guy since he was still in the oven! Tally (mommy to Truss) and Jake (Dad) are two of the closest and sweetest friends that James and I have or could ever ask for! It has been such a privilege to walk, cry, and laugh through life with this family for the past 4 years! Anyway, Tally and I got together to capture a seven month update of this little guy. We meant to do it before he learned how to crawl… As you can see from the first picture and many others, we missed our window, so keeping this little guy still was a challenge in the hot Georgia Sun! Truss definitely gave us some fun, silly, adorable, and kissable faces as we tried. Here he is, dressed up just like his daddy usually is!

The Smith Family!
I (Lindsay) had the privilege to attend Berry College with a beautiful, encouraging, inspirational woman who happened to be two years younger than me, but so much wiser than me! Sarah and I got to hang out regularly and share life together. She fell in love at Berry with an awesome guy named Ryan Smith. And thus, Sarah became a Smith. I had heard about this amazing, adorable, abundant family, but had not had the privilege of meeting them until this December. We got to spend a couple hours photographing this sweet family in their gorgeous home. Here are a few of my favorites!

Thank you Smith Family for letting us into your home!

The Trussell Family!
James and I are HUGE fans of the Trussell Family. We especially love taking pictures of this precious family! We were privileged to capture Kyle and Tricia’s Wedding last March, Tally and Tiara’s Expectant Bellies at the end of the Summer, and we get to continue to capture Truss’s little life starting at the hospital. But this past week we had the privilege of getting together with the whole family and capture them again, now with three grandchildren, and one sister who lives on the west coast all in town for Thanksgiving. It was such a fun, special time to feel everyday life for this family, they remind us SOO much of our own families, it is like being home. Here are just a few of our favorites…

The Link Family!
I met Heather a few years ago, and I met Matt around the same time, at the time they were not Heather and Matt. It has been so sweet to watch them date, be engaged, and now after 2 years of marriage, they are Heather, Matt, and Sarah! Sarah is about 4 months old and super sweet. She looks like Matt (to me) and has the sweet smile and presence of Heather. It was so fun to see the three of them together, and to get to capture it! It was a pretty cold nasty day outside, so we started in the studio and got a few covered outdoor shots at the end. So, here are a few of my favorites…

The Mullis Family!
Ahh… where do I start with the Mullises? This family is one of the biggest blessings in our life. James and I started hanging out with Tom, Molly, Jessie and Tiffany a week before we got married. We got to see them every week for the first year of our marriage, with a few other couples. This group of couples are one of the biggest reasons our marriage is so healthy and beautiful. Molly has walked me through so many times that I didn’t have my head on straight. Tom has influenced James both personally and professionally. The two of them have been able to fly all over the world for their jobs and probably know more about each other than I can imagine. And these girls are the best huggers. They love just as completely as their mother. Like I said when started hanging out with this family, there were 2 girls. In 2008, Callie decided to shake up this adorable family’s “normal.” Now almost a year old, this little jewel has brought so much joy and laughter, and it is hard to remember the Mullis Family without her… alright, alright, you wanna see pictures, right? Here we go…

The McNeely Family
I first met David McNeely when he was serving as a youth pastor at my church in High School. I believe he had just married the gorgeous Judith and the only thing busy in their life was the demands of youth ministry. Nowadays there is a bit more busyness in the McNeely home… they have added not two or three but six amazing, energetic boys that are are going a hundred miles an hour. It only takes a second to realize that the McNeely family is different from most families you know, but it only takes a few more moments to realize that it is the kind of different that we can only pray that our family will have one day. Love. Unconditional love. Not just that but decision. David and Judith chose each and every one of their boys. They chose the process, the discouragement, the time, the emotional energy, the possible rejection, and the joy of making each of their boys their own. Just spend an hour or two with them and you will leave with more joy. From Dawson and Smyth who are immediately your best friends, to Emerson’s eventually comfortable smile, Davis’s ability to entertain and Sawyer and Wyatt’s desire to be held. They are each so precious and reflect out the security and love that they have recieved from Judith and David.
Okay, enough talk… here they are…

The Curry Family
It has been far too long since I have blogged! October was very busy, and James set up this beautiful new blog for us! So, we are back, and here is the first of many overdue blogs… The Currys!
I have known the Jessica Curry since high school, she was a couple years behind me but involved in similar activities. We didn’t see each other much through College, and somehow ended up hanging out a lot in the past year or two. James had the good sense to introduce her his little brother and they have been spending a lot of time together ever since! So at the end of the summer, Jessica came to us about giving her parents the gift of family pics for their anniversary…
George and Lisa have been married for 25 years! As a celebration of their parents milestone their 3 girls: Jessica, Charissa, and Victoria wanted to give them family pictures… here are my faves…

Congrats George and Lisa ! We are so happy for you, you have a gorgeous family! Thanks for letting us capture them!

The Palmers are… AWESOME!
A Couple weeks ago, we spent an evening with Carey and Jill and their 2 energetic, adorable kids Brock and Charissa. They suggested their favorite park. We could tell they frequented the park because the kids were just itching to run around and play. Not that we didn’t let them, well, you’ll see…

They are adorable aren’t they (not the kids)…

The Storck Boys
James hung out with the Storck boys the other day for some boy time pics… I was not invited… which was a bummer cause they looked like they had a lot of fun. They wanted to give their mom, Jen an accurate portrayal of who they are. Mission accomplished I believe…
